Product Summary
The strength of topical steroids is ranked on a five-level scale, from Group 1 (the strongest) to Group 5 (the weakest).
Dermovate Cream falls into Group 1 (strongest).
As it is in the strongest category, it is used when symptoms are severe, and is also suitable for areas where the skin has thickened, such as lichenified eczema. It is not generally used on delicate areas with thin skin, such as the face.

Efficacy / effectiveness
Dermovate Cream is a steroid for external use that improves symptoms such as redness, swelling, and itching through its anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects.
It is usually used to treat eczema/dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia areata, etc.
Dosing / Administration
- In general, apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once or several times a day, but the amount may be increased or decreased depending on the symptoms. Be sure to follow the instructions for use.
- Be careful not to get it in your eyes.
- If you need to use the medicine for a long period of time, consult a doctor regularly.
- Do not use under makeup or after shaving, as this may cause side effects.
- When using the medicine on areas that come into contact with the diaper, avoid wearing tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants.
- If you forget to use it, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, remove the missed dose and use the next dose as instructed.
- If you accidentally use too much, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
- Also, if your symptoms do not improve or worsen even after continuing to use the medicine as instructed, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions / Side Effects
- If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
- If you have: skin infections due to bacteria/fungi, skin diseases caused by animals (scabies or hair lice), eczematous external otitis with eardrum perforation, skin ulcer or burn/frostbite.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include skin atrophy, capillary vessel enlargement, folliculitis/furuncle and acneform eruption. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
