Dosing / Administration

• Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area one to several times a day, as directed. Always follow the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not apply this medication to the eyes.
• For infants and young children, avoid prolonged or excessive use, as well as application under occlusive conditions (such as tightly fitting diapers).
• If you forget to apply the ointment, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed application and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed one.
• If you accidentally apply too much, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not stop using this medication on your own without your doctor’s instructions, even if symptoms improve.

Precautions / Side Effects

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if any of the following apply to you:

• You have previously experienced allergic reactions such as itching or rash caused by medications or foods.
• You have a skin infection caused by bacteria or fungi, or any parasitic skin disease (e.g., scabies, lice).
• You have eczema in the external ear canal with a perforated eardrum.
• You have skin ulcers, burns, or frostbite.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You are currently using any other medications, including over-the-counter drugs, supplements, or certain foods, as they may interact with this medication (by enhancing or reducing its effects).

The main reported side effects include skin irritation, itching, contact dermatitis, folliculitis, and rash.
If you notice any of these symptoms, consult your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

In rare cases, the following symptoms may occur and could be early signs of serious side effects indicated in brackets [ ]:

• Severe eye pain, blurred vision, or sudden loss of vision [glaucoma, posterior subcapsular cataract]
