Efficacy / effectiveness
URSO tablets 50 mg improves bile flow by promoting bile secretion and replaces hydrophobic bile acids in the liver, reducing damage to liver cells. Furthermore, it improves liver function by suppressing the production of cytokines and chemokines and suppressing inflammatory cell infiltration into the liver. It also has gallstone dissolving effects and improving digestion and absorption.
Usually used for treatment of biliary tract diseases and liver diseases caused by poor bile flow, improvement of indigestion after small intestine resection or inflammatory small bowel disease, dissolution of cholesterol gallstones, chronic liver disease, primary biliary cirrhosis, and C. It is used to improve liver function in chronic liver disease.
Dosing / Administration
- Treatment of liver disease, improvement of liver function and indigestion: In general, adults take 1 tablet (50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the disease being treated, age, and symptoms. Be sure to follow the instructions for taking the medicine.
- Dissolving gallstones: In general, adults take 4 tablets (200 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be increased or decreased depending on age and symptoms. Be sure to follow the instructions for taking the medicine.
- Improvement of liver function in primary biliary cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis C: In general, adults take 4 tablets (200 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the disease being treated, age, and symptoms, but the maximum daily dosage when increasing is 18 tablets (900 mg). Be sure to follow the instructions for taking the medicine.
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and skip the missed dose. Never take two doses at once.
- If you accidentally take more than one dose, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
