Tokikenchuto is used to treat menstrual pain, lower abdominal pain and hemorrhoids.It is usually used for people who are easily tired and have a poor complexion.

Efficacy / effectiveness

It is used for menstrual pain, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, abdominal pain, lower abdominal pain, hemorrhoids, and anal loss in people who are easily tired and pale. It is also used for post-illness and post-operative weakness.

Dosing / Administration

  • In general, for adults, divide 7.5 g daily into 2 to 3 divided doses and drink with water or lukewarm water before or between meals. The dose may be adjusted according to your age, weight and symptoms. Be sure to follow your doctor’s instructions.
  • If you miss a dose, take it when you notice. However, if the next drink comes within about 2 hours, skip it and drink at the next designated time. Do not take two doses at once.
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you accidentally drank too much.
  • Do not stop drinking at your own discretion without the instructions of your doctor.
