Juzentaihoto is a typical herbal medicine that improves the overall condition of the body and helps fight illness, making up for deficiencies.
It is prescribed when you have ailments such as fatigue, anemia, dry skin, loss of appetite, night sweats, and cold hands and feet. It is used for a variety of purposes, including reducing physical strength after illness or surgery, improving postpartum weakness, anemia, and poor circulation.

Dosing / Administration
- In general, for adults, take 7.5 g a day orally in 2 or 3 divided doses with cold or lukewarm water before or between meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to your age, body weight and symptoms. Strictly follow your instructions.
- If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if the next dose is within two hours, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. You should not take two doses at one time.
- If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Major side effects include rash, redness, itching, urticaria, loss of appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. If you notice any of these symptoms, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
In rare cases, the following symptoms may occur, which may be the initial symptoms of the side effects shown in []. In such cases, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately.
- Decreased urine output, swollen face and limbs, heavy eyelids, stiff hands [pseudo aldosteronism]
- My body feels dull and I can’t put in force on my limbs, my limbs are squeezed, my limbs get stuffy [Myopathy]
- Body becomes dull, skin and whites become yellow [hepatic dysfunction]
