SELBEX Capsule 50mg increases the mucus that protects the stomach and improves blood flow to the stomach mucosa, thereby enhancing the defense against stomach acid. It also helps repair damaged tissue.
SELBEX is an original drug that contains Teprenone as an active ingredient.
Generic drugs use Teprenone as their name.
Efficacy / effectiveness
It is usually used to treat gastritis and gastric ulcers.
It is a “defense factor enhancer” against stomach acid. It is not a very strong drug, but it has few side effects. It is one of the most prescribed drugs in this category.
Dosing / Administration
- In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (50 mg of the active ingredient) three times a day after meals, but the dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the disease, age, and symptoms being treated. Be sure to follow the instructions for taking the medicine.
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take two doses at once.
- If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions / Side Effects
- If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions to any medicines or foods.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The most commonly reported side effects include rash, itchiness, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, abdominal pain, abdominal bloating, and headache. If you notice any of these symptoms, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
