Product Summary

When the stomach mucosa becomes weak, it becomes more susceptible to gastritis and gastric ulcers (soreness in the stomach mucosa) due to the stimulation of stomach acid.

MUCOSTA Tablets strengthens the stomach mucosa. It also increases resistance to stomach acid, and helps gastritis and gastric ulcers heal faster. It also prevents stomach irritation caused by other medicines such as painkillers.

Efficacy / effectiveness

It suppresses gastric mucosal damage by increasing gastric mucosal prostaglandin E2 and protecting the gastric mucosa, improves hemodynamic disorders by increasing gastric mucus volume and gastric mucosal blood flow, suppresses inflammation, and repairs the gastric mucosa.

It is usually used to treat gastric ulcers and improve gastric mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, redness, edema) in the acute exacerbation of acute gastritis and chronic gastritis.

Dosing / Administration

• Gastric ulcer: In general, adults take 1 tablet (100 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, three times a day, in the morning, evening and before bedtime.
• Improvement of gastric mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, redness, edema) during acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis: In general, adults take 1 tablet (100 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, three times a day.
• In either case, be sure to follow the instructions for taking the drug.
• If you miss a dose, take the dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, do not take the missed dose and take the next dose at the time of your next dose. You should never take two doses at once.
• If you accidentally take more than the missed dose, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not stop taking this medicine on your own judgment without your doctor’s instructions.

• You have previously experienced allergic symptoms such as itching or a rash from medicine or food.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

MUCOSTA is a highly safe medication. Side effects are few, but the main side effects reported include rash, constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, and abnormal taste. If you notice any of these symptoms, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

• Swelling around the eyes and lips, hives, difficulty breathing [anaphylaxis]
• Sore throat, fever, fatigue [leukopenia]
• Nosebleeds, bleeding gums, subcutaneous bleeding in the limbs [thrombocytopenia]
• General fatigue, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
