This medicine adsorbs uremic toxins and their precursors (original substances) in the digestive tract of patients with chronic renal failure and is excreted in the stool, improving uremic symptoms such as loss of appetite, bad breath, nausea, and itching, while also delaying the start of dialysis.
It is usually used to improve uremic symptoms and delay the start of dialysis in patients with chronic renal failure (progressive).
Dosing / Administration
- In general, for adults, take 4 tablets/packet (2g of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. Please be sure to follow the directions for taking the medicine.
- This agent disintegrates with a small amount of water. Dissolve it in your mouth with water and then swallow it.
- If you are taking other medications, do not take this medicine at the same time. As a guideline, take this medicine at least 30 minutes to an hour after taking other medications. However, there may be individual differences and differences between medications, so please be careful of the effects of other medications.
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take one dose at the next dose. Do not take two doses at once.
- If you accidentally take more than the missed dose, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
