TSUMURA 113 San’oshashinto is a Kampo medicine that helps reduce excessive internal heat and calm both the body and mind.
It is composed of herbal ingredients that clear heat and promote the elimination of accumulated stool from the body.
Efficacy / effectiveness
It is used to treat symptoms associated with high blood pressure (swelling, stiff shoulders, ears, heavy head, insomnia, anxiety), nosebleeds, hemorrhoidal bleeding, constipation, and menopause.
It is usually used for people who are relatively strong, hot flashes, flushed, anxious, and prone to constipation.
Dosing / Administration
- In general, for adults, take 7.5 g a day orally in 2 or 3 divided doses with cold or lukewarm water before or between meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to your age, body weight and symptoms. Strictly follow your instructions.
- If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if the next dose is within two hours, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. You should not take two doses at one time.
- If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions / Side Effects
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
- If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
The main reported side effects include loss of appetite, stomach pain, and diarrhea. If you notice any of these symptoms, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- Patients with diarrhea and loose stools [These symptoms may worsen. ]
- Patients with extremely weak gastrointestinal tract [anorexia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. may occur. ]
- Patients who are significantly weakened [Side effects are more likely to occur and their symptoms may be enhanced. ]
In rare cases, the following symptoms may occur and could be early signs of the side effects shown in [ ]. If you notice any of these symptoms, stop using this product immediately and see a doctor.
- Fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing [interstitial pneumonia]
- Fatigue, yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes [liver dysfunction]
